This JB Dewar Inside Sales and Service Team plays a key role in in optimizing the efficiency, market area coverage and profitability for our business. The Inside Sales and Service Manager would be responsible for defining, establishing, and following up on the implementation of best practices within the Inside Sales and Service Team while promoting a highly collaborative environment with field sales and operations teams. To be successful in this role, you must have the ability to develop and implement processes. Ensuring that the team effectively prospects, conducts a proactive sales process, quotes in line with customers’ needs, provides solutions and follows up with every opportunity. This position will be highly focused on people and processes, while developing cross-functional collaboration and alignment with other managers both in service and product sales.


  • Manage and lead the inside sales and service team to achieve profit and service goals.
  • Ensure that the necessary process and best practices are implemented and followed up in timely manner.
  • Identify, suggest, and implement process improvements and best practices.
  • Monitor and drive activity levels that will lead to the established vision of success for the business.
  • Follow up the performance of team members while working on their competence development.
  • Collaborate with operations to best handle inbound and outbound requests, driving a hassle-free experience for our customers.
  • Optimize and find efficiencies on the call flow to ensure all calls are captured and handled in a timely manner.
  • Identify competence gaps, implement training plans, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Develop in-depth knowledge and usage of JB Dewar products and business tools to assist your team in learning and gathering necessary customer information for a successful sale.
  • Ensure that customer product and service issues are getting addressed proactively and that all necessary paperwork, are properly in place during a sales process.
  • Assist in the updating and up-keep of customers records in the CRM system.
  • Provide feedback to sales and marketing teams.
  • Other duties related to the strategic and operational development of the business.
  • Actively contribute to team efforts, meetings, and discussions.

SKILLS: (Required)

  • Proven inside sales leadership experience.
  • Be customer oriented, able to understand customer needs and prioritize them accordingly.
  • Show good level of empathy while enforcing company policies and strategic directions.
  • Strong negotiation and consultative sales skills.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Be willing to learn new skills and increase and expand knowledge of products, systems and the company’s market and operation.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver messages to various levels internally within the organization and externally with customers.
  • Problem solving and listening skills.
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening.
  • Honest, dependable and a team player.
  • Organized and able to multi-task.

SKILLS: (Preferred)

  • Two years of inside sales leadership experience desired.
  • Previous B2B sales experience preferred with an emphasis on closing.
  • Minimum one (1) year of B2B experience.
  • Experience in transportation, lubricants, fuel, or a related industry.
  • Microsoft Office proficient to include Dynamics CRM.
  • Bilingual – English and Spanish preferred.


  • Frequent sitting and computer work.  Some lifting (up to 30 pounds), bending, and reaching.
