Pricing Specialist

ESSENTIAL SKILLS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Optimize the profitability of fuel and lubricant sales under volatile pricing and/or market conditions.
• Develop and execute pricing strategies consistent with achieving performance metrics.
• Engage with other departments as needed to provide insight into market level performance and forecasts.
• Conduct tactical analysis using large data sets to better understand performance trends, mitigate risks, identify threats, and realize opportunities.
• Maintain and update pricing in company systems and make necessary changes as directed by management.

• Oversee data integrity of the fuel and lubricant pricing systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot integration issues, identifying system integration issues/solutions with minimal oversight.
• Self-motivated to seek knowledge on industry, systems, and market dynamics – high level of curiosity and self-paced learning.

• Provide weekly and monthly pricing analysis on all fuel and lubricant margins with comprehension of key factors impacting price movement and have the ability to carry out presentations and spreadsheets.
• Work closely with sales management to establish pricing guidelines and process special pricing requests as needed.
• Develop a system of communication, documentation, and review of internal and external information.

SKILLS: (Required)

• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• Ability to interact with a variety of people, including sales personnel and customers
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• Strong math and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to multi-task and react to change productively
• Detail-oriented, organized
• Adheres to the company’s values and ethical expectations.
• Effective time management and organization skills.
• Friendly, outgoing personality.

ESSENTIAL PHYSICAL FUNCTIONS:

• Frequent standing, sitting, bending, lifting, able to lift at least 75 pounds and climb ladders.
