Job Title:             Warehouse Support

Status:                 Full Time Non-Exempt (hourly)

Department:      Operations

Hours:                  Monday through Friday Daytime, some overtime required as needed

Supervisor:         Warehouse Supervisor

Salary Range:    $21.00 to $29.00 per hour

Location:             San Luis Obispo

 

Job Summary: Responsible for all aspects of warehousing including but not limited to loading and unloading trucks, stocking, shipping, receiving, monthly inventory, cycle counting, year-end inventory, and overall organization and cleanliness of the interior and exterior warehouse.

 

Essential Skills & Responsibilities:

  • Utilizing pick lists to correctly pull, stack and organize products for delivery daily.
  • Re-packaging bulk oil and DEF including filling totes, drums and pails from our bulk oil or DEF facility and pails from drums as required. Making sure all paperwork is handled correctly (ie. batch number, fill dates, BOM paperwork is correct to move the product from one SKU to another, taking oil & DEF samples, and flush volumes). Must communicate with Warehouse Supervisor to make sure stock levels of re-packaged goods are planned and as expected.
  • Must Create and process “Bill of Materials” or Bom’s , in Ascend
  • Check in and correctly identify packaged product during and after unloading drums, pails and packaged goods received from many various suppliers, including FedEx and UPS incoming shipments and putting the stock away in its proper locations within 24 hours of receipt.
  • Receive and monitor the delivery of bulk products.
  • Unload trucks after they have made the daily deliveries and prepare for loading. Ensure that stock that is unloaded after deliveries is properly accounted for.
  • Ensure all stock is rotated to oldest date in front and corresponds to the correct bin locations.
  • Ensure the warehouse and assigned areas are kept clean, safe and in proper order.
  • Participate in monthly and annual inventory.
  • Participate in inventory accuracy and improvement projects.
  • Assists the JB Dewar Depot team with walk in customer sales and cardlock/propane sales as needed (must be propane certified, will train).
  • Ability to be trained to create and process orders to better help walk in customers.
  • Update information in computer as needed.
  • Knowledge and accuracy with math, addition, subtraction, multiplication and fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.

Qualifications:

  • Past experience in a warehouse environment
  • Clean DMV report
  • Must maintain a valid class C or better driver’s license.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft software (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Essential Physical Functions:

  • Frequent standing, sitting, bending, lifting, hand and finger movements associated with typing, 10 key and telephone operations.
  • Ladder climbing
  • Be able to lift 75 pounds.
  • Near, mid, and far vision
  • Trained to safely operate a forklift, pallet jack and walkie stacker (will provide training)
